You've got to dig it to dig it, you dig?
I found this awesome list of advice from Thelonius Monk to saxophonist Steve Lacy from back in 1960 over here.
The stamp image is from Thelonius Monk's Riverside Records era (1954–1961) - still looking for info on the artist.

Sad news y'all. San Antonio's very own Snowbyrd drummer and executive director of San Anto Cultural Arts Manuel Castillo passed away yesterday evening after a short battle with cancer. He was 40.
More: San Antonio Express News.
Rest In Peace Manny - say howdy to Ram for me!

No matter how you say it, and wherever you're from, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Enjoy! It's Christmas! And to my family and friends in France (and those of us that wish we were there too!), Monsueir Maurice Chevalier, along with everybody at our house, wishing you and yours a Joyeaux Noel with his superb version of Jolly Old St. Nicholas!
Let It Snow and then be dazzled by this trippy English version of The Sleigh, an old traditional Russian Christmas song.
And hey, on your way back from Russia, why not do yourself a favor and drop by Amsterdam, chill out with some fresh coffee and enjoy an Amstel Sleigh Ride!
Finally, and most importantly, here's to each and every awesome mom out there - I Love You! Because after all, if not for Mother Mary, my mom and your mom, none of us would even be here! Mrs. Santa Claus.
Joyeaux Noel!
Peace & Merry Christmas!
